Class Policies for Registration, Transfers and Cancellations

Signing up for an IICRC training class, need to change your class dates or cancel your reservations? You’ve come to the right place. Learn more about the Atex School of Cleaning and Restoration’s class policies below.

Registration

Payment is due at the time of registration and is required to reserve a student’s spot in the class. Registration is not complete until payment has been received, and a student’s seat cannot be guaranteed until both registration and payment are confirmed.

Student Transfers

Registered students may choose to transfer their registration fee to a later class. The student may attend the same course within 90 days of the original class date. If the same course is not offered within that 90-day period, they must attend the next scheduled course. Transfer fees apply and vary by class type. See the fee table below for more details. Failure to comply with this policy will result in loss of all funds paid.

Transfers are available up to 14 days prior to class start date for a fee. Thirteen days or less before the class start date, transfers are not available and no refunds will be issued.

Transfer Fees

  • CCT, WRT, FSRT: $150
  • ASD: $350
  • WRT/ASD COMBO: $475

Student Cancellations

If a registered student needs to cancel a class, please notify Atex as early as possible. Cancellation fees will apply and vary by class type. See the fee table below for more details. To avoid the cancellation fee, you may send another student in the place of the originally registered student.

WRT/ASD Combo

  • 14+ days before the class date: $750 cancellation fee
  • 13 days or less before the class date: No refund

ASD

  • 14+ days before the class date: $550 cancellation fee
  • 13 days or less before the class date: No refund

WRT, FSRT

  • 14+ days before the class date: $250 cancellation fee
  • 13 days or less before the class date: No refund

CCT

  • 10+ days before the class date: $75 cancellation fee
  • If 4-9 days before the class date: $100 cancellation fee
  • Less than 3 days before the class date: No refund

Please note, all refund decisions are final and are made at the sole discretion of the president of Atex Wholesale Supply and/or the school administrator for the Atex School of Cleaning and Restoration.

School Cancellations

There may be instances where Atex’s School of Cleaning and Restoration needs to cancel a previously scheduled class.

In the event of a cancellation, the school administrator or company president will make the decision on a course cancellation a minimum of seven (7) days prior to the course beginning date. All registered students will be contacted via the phone number provided during registration. Failure to provide a working contact number will release the school from contacting that student.

If the registration fee has been pre-paid for the cancelled class, the student and/or company can select from the following options:

  • Apply the funds to another course available on the class schedule
  • Request a refund
    • If original payment was made by credit card, the refund will be processed to the same card. If original payment was made by check or cash, a request for refund will be forwarded to our corporate office for processing. It may take up to 3 weeks to receive the refund check in the mail.

If a student or company purchased a non-refundable airline ticket to attend the cancelled course, the flight should be cancelled upon notification. Most airlines will issue a credit for the unused ticket. This credit can often be used for travel within the next 12-month period. Please contact your airline to review the details of their non-refundable ticket policy.

We recommend booking flights with Southwest Airlines, as they typically offer the most liberal cancellation policy on non-refundable tickets. The ticket costs also tend to be lower when traveling to our training locations. Visit their website for more details.

Most other major airlines will issue credit if the flight is cancelled in advance. In some cases, a cancellation penalty or fee (typically $25 – $100) will be assessed for changing tickets. Atex will cover this fee when supported by receipts or copies of the same. Please note, this will be the only airline expense that Atex will assume for non-Southwest Airline flights. Most of the major carriers will not allow the transfer of a non-refundable ticket to a third party.

In the event that we fail to notify a student of a cancellation and they show up for the class, we will:

  • Refund any pre-paid cancelled course fee
  • Compensate them for incurred lodging, gas, and/or airline ticket expense. Receipts or copies of the same must support all reimbursement request.

Please note, this does not apply if we were unable to reach them through the contact number that was supplied at the time of registration. No compensation will be paid for lost revenue to the student or company, due to the lack of notification.
